I've had this scratchy leafy background in my stash since last year, when I used the piece of Yupo as a palette with lift-ink and a poinsettia stamp (for this card: Peaceful Wishes by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers.
I thought it would make a good background for these owls, which I left uncoloured. I found some autumnal BoBunny paper and stamped leaves across the bottom part. The punny sentiment is stamped on a Plain Jane notepaper stamp from Verve, and the note to self is embossed on a scrap of woodgrain paper. I added angled lines all around the edge beyond the stitching line with a glitter gel pen, and sponged the edges with a deep aqua.
Unity: Best Owl Around, going to be owl-right, Verve plain Jane, Katzel Whatchamacallit. AI on Yupo after lift-ink, full of leaf texture. Main panel edged with gel pens.

What a wonderful encouragement card! Adore those sweet owls and they look perfect uncolored on your beautiful background. Love your hand-drawn edges and so beautifully done!
Oh, I love it! What a great way to use that fabulous background! I am such a fan of a vibrant background paired with black and white images! Sensational!
