For the teapot challenge, we were to roll dice and select the style of the decade that came up in honor of a gal who is celebrating a 100 year milestone birthday. My decade is the 1940s which is listed in the inspiration/information link as Sentimental Tradition. I changed my celebration to Christmas and pulled my colours from the wood and furniture in the second inspiration picture. The first picture and write up listed ruffled curtains and his ruffled list was a perfect shout out to that style. This adorable little mouse with his well thought out list, would like a Tom and Jerry video. Tom and Jerry were created in the 1940s and fit my decade perfectly. I love the traditional warmth of the classic Christmas theme here, and created his background by sponging some daffodil delight mixed with old olive and then stenciling from my diecut negative and then topping with the die cuts. Mousie is copics, but my base under the list is gamsol and prismacolours for a softer feel.

Everything about this is fantastic .... how I love the mouse and his Christmas list, and your coloring and stenciling are so soft! Love the effects of your pine branches creating a backdrop for the sweet mouse.

Awesome card and your sponging, shading and coloring are fabulous. I love the scene you created. That mouse is do adorable and his long list just makes me smile. I wasn't born til the 50's but I remember a lot of things on that list like Tom and Jerry. How fun to take this walk down memory lane. Fabulous card.

Hey you! I was meandering about in the gallery and next thing I knew here I am looking at one of your wonderful creations. Fabulous as always. I’ve been out of the SCS loop and haven’t posted anything in ages. Trying to get back in the swing of things. Hope all is well in your world.
