This image reminds me of my Thanksgivings dinners. I bought an Instant Pot to save on time for cooking the turkey when my daughter married about five years ago. First year, I purchased it too big and we ended up having dinner really late in the evening. The second year, I got the right size but forgot to take it out early enough to have it thaw out correctly and, again, we ended up having dinner really late. The following year, I got the right size, remembered to defrost the turkey early enough, but forgot to brine it the day before so it was just kinda tasteless. But we had the dinner on time! So the following year, my daughter took over cooking the Thanksgivifrng meal at her house. Took her long enough if you ask me! All the papers are from a retired paper pack from American Crafts. This was the last of the pack! Yay! I can move on to some more recently retired paper packs! I inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone. I can not remember where the image came from but I colored it with Copic markers. It was a freebie but I did not notate where I got it from. The image is just the man and turkey in the pot hanging in mid air. I colored in the table and window and gave the man legs. I wanted to draw in cabinets behind him as well but I lost my nerve. I thought the window was nerve-wrecking enough! Sentiment comes from Create with TLC from years back when she gave out awesome freebies. On the inside, I stamped out in single letters from an alphabet stamp, "It's important to plan ahe" and had that run off the paper and the sentiment started at the top of the paper and angled down towards the middle of the page! LoL I think they will get the point even if it did take three years for my daughter to get the point. ;)
