I would be entirely remiss if I didn't have at least one pink card for this month's Fan Club Challenge. Once upon a time, I hated pink. So much so, that I still remember walking down a paper goods isle at the local drug store, seeing pink posterboard, and thinking to myself "eeeewww!." That was years ago... years and years and YEARS ago, and years and years and years later, plus a few months when I actually had the most vibrant streaks of fuschia dyed into my hear, plus years and years more, and I like pink, just as much as any other color (I now love all the color's of God's rainbow, after all!). With that, I bring you my pink contribution for this month. Although I like pink nowadays, it doesn't wind up in many of my card creations, perhaps due to it being a true challenge for me, personally, to use and get a result I'm happy with at the end. Do you have any colors that you feel the same about?
When I saw this month's inspiration photo, I just had to play along and immediately thought of one of my favorite (but not often used) stamp sets of all time. I dug out my alcohol markers to create the same bright-yet-slightly-subdued look, and though very untraditional, I think any home (or property) that looks anything like this would get second-takes constantly, don't you?
I decided to combine it with this month's sketch as well, loosely interpreting the design by skewing the colored image to offset it and add interest to this very simple design.
A simple yet bright card that will hopefully spread some sunshine in a happy-news situation for the recipient it eventually goes to!
Thank you so much for viewing this quick and simple card. I hope you'll come play along with us this month in the Fan Club Challenge forum!
Blessings,
Chrissy

What a lovely card Chrissy. I love pink and orange together and it's neat to see a fall card using pink! The DSP you picked is perfect to go with this image.

I love how you offset your main image and love the pinks worked into that scene!

Wonderful! Makes me think of Bermuda, and the gorgeous pink houses there!! I really like the way you angled the panel!

Beautiful card, beautiful coloring.
Plus, thank you for the laugh. I love pink, though I never wear it. I do have a lot of pink in my home office / craft space and have to force myself to not use pink in every card.
PS: That is a very old SU set; which I might still have around.

Such a sweet little autumn scene, Chrissy! It's so windy that all the leaves have blown off the trees. I like seeing the leaves in the air and on the ground.
I'm not a fan of pinks, but that's ok because there are so many other beautiful colors to choose from.

Somehow I missed this card last month, but glad I found it this month. Yeah, I would hate to have a big pink house in my neighborhood, but it looks adorable and fun on your card. Love the layers and layout on this card. So sweet and pretty in pink.
