My card this week isn't inspired by another card but by the card maker herself -- this week's Featured Stamper, Shirl (aka Shirl19). Shirl has such a big heart. She continually spreads joy, kindness and support throughout this site whether it's the many beautiful cards she makes for the challenges, her lovely comments filled with encouragement and praise or the offers of prayers and support to others in the Forums. And, whenever I see her profile picture pop up I smile because I think she has one of the best smiles on the Web.
On my card I tried to incorporate items that reminded me of Shirl and things you would see throughout her great Gallery. She has used a similar frame die on several cards; she uses a lot of flowers and butterflies; several cards have black open images to let the card base show through; and she often uses die cut sentiments. I tried to spy a "signature color" in her Gallery; but her color is the full spectrum -- just like a rainbow. So I used my favorites of greens and blues for one of my favorite stampers. I smooshed the bg with DOX and die cut the frame. Stamped the open flowers for the bg. Die cut the heart. Mounted on the card stock and embellished with butterflies and the sentiment.
Congratulations Shirl. You have a wonderful Gallery and like many others have already said, I have a whole lot of tabs open right now because there are several of your cards I would love to CASE. I have also bought some new crafting supplies -- LOL. Enjoy your week and all the beautiful cards that your beautiful cards have inspired. And I hope everyone is having a joy filled weekend. TFL

Debbie, this is mind blowing. What an awesome card you created and it is leaving me breathless just gazing at it and your beautiful words you have said too. I keep going back up to look some more. Love the colors and the pops of black you added to go with the outlined flowers in black. I am speechless. Oh no, I am not, lol, cause I want to say your smooshed colors totally rock! And with that P.B. frame! Love this so much, my friend and thank you for honoring me with this and your beautiful words too. You are one amazing lady!
