I was prepping my September birthday cards and decided to make one with a bow. This is the sort where you punch a small hole in your card and thread a small piece of ribbon through, so that you have the loop at the front and the tails at the back. Then you arrange a longer piece to form the visible bow on the front, and tuck it through the loop. Arrange to your satisfaction, tighten the tails at the back and secure them with tape. I cut my flowers from watercolour paper and embellished with pearls. With a birthday ef I decided no sentiment was needed.

This is such a pretty card! The embossed background is a wonderful element.

Those blue flowers are so cheerful and pretty with the pearl centers, and the black and white polka dot bow goes nicely with them. I’ve not seen that embossing folder before, looks great, and I also like the faint line drawn (?) around the card (and I’m guessing, before embossing?) to serve as a frame. I am definitely stealing that idea, so thanks!! Lovely birthday card!
