Today's challenge was to makes a distress ink bg then use the same colors to stamp an image inked & spritzed with water and then watercolor parts of it. I think my personal preference would have been to use a darker contrasting color on my focal image but in the spirit of the challenge I stuck with just the 3 in my bg. I had briefly thought of adding some stamped Kanji but discarded that idea for netting again in my 3 base colors. I finished by spattering some thinned white acrylic paint and added some clear iridescent sequins - sparkly and effective IRL though the camera pretty much chooses to ignore them.

You created a lovely fish/underwater scene with this technique. Wonderful and varied choice of colors....and you stuck with them for all steps of th process. Well done!

Fun to do the challenges and see how different products work. The DOX inks really have a chalky look, but work great for layering. Love the look of your card because of all the colors you used and no muddy results. The netting is perfect for the background. Great look for the koi fish too. You mentioned sticking to the spirit of the challenge....I call that integrity. We need a little more of that in this world. Thanks for joining us this week. Always enjoy your take on the challenge.

well, I totally missed that three colors thing, I think I ended up with 5 or 6 of them. This is a really pretty color combo Linda, I like how you balanced the images a lot with the color framing them.

I see your sequins quite clearly and they are sparkly! Beautiful colors, I think I missed the three colors thing, too, like Stacy. I love the Koi and the net details are perfect for keeping them corralled on the card.
