It's Dare to Get Dirty week! I am playing in my 9th year of Dare to Get Dirty Challenges! This is for Janine's (JayBee's) challenge.
This super simple card took me three attempts! On my first try, I used a paper that is not water friendly but because I used acetate and lightly tapped the watery ink onto my cardstock it turned out beautifully. However, I wanted to add just a tiny bit to the top ink and a splatter fell on the zebra's eye. Boo. On the next attempt, I just spritzed the acetate again to reactivate the ink but then it had too much water and caused the paper to pill. 2nd Boo. I switched to heavy-weight cardstock for my third attempt and viola! I am the queen of messing up the simplest cards! Is there a prize for that?
I am going to sneak this into my daughter's bag as she is leaving for a 3-day retreat. Poor thing had a super rough day yesterday. On the inside of the card I have stamped: Never forget how wildly capable you are.
I have this card blogged HERE! I linked a photo at the lower portion of the post if you would like to see what the sentiment stamp looks like.

Awesome CAS card and yes - it's sometimes the simpliest of cards that trip us up the most. (maybe because there is less going on to hide an "oops") 3's the charm and this is adorable with your splashes of pink.

Super adorable! Glad to hear that even the stampers I admire have 2nd and 3rd attempts! All part of the process I guess. Thanks for sharing your trials - helps the rest of us realize that everyone has bloopers - one of the main reason I hardly ever leave much white space... :-)

I love that you are going to sneak it into her bag - it is lovely so hopefully will bring a smile. Thanks for fighting with ink and paper and making a card for my challenge
