I had fun with this technique and experimented using different cardstocks and paints/inks. The background is mixed media cardstock, the Distress ink + baking soda was applied using a straw. When the vinegar was added, it blurred the lines a bit, but I love the effect. The card the bird is embossed on is Arches watercolor paper. The ink mixture was applied using a brush for a more solid color. A fun technique and I bet younger kids would love doing this!

Beautiful in these pretty shades of blue, your birdie pops against this pretty bg, love how you've done the bg with the straw, yes kids love this, my granddaughter couldn't stop playing!!

Wow this is really pretty. Both the main panel and BG are are wonderfully done and I love the soft blue tone. Your bird really stands out especially in that frame.
