Happy Saturday all! My card was awhile in the making...hope you don't mind the pile-on for the WT's and the IC's. It just took me that long to bring this card to life...
The WT853 was hosted by Toni (ravengirl) and she issued the challenge to use a Monogram on your card. I covered that by my nickname for my youngest son, Andy! The '&' is an unknown foam stamp and the 'd' is one of Tim's thick alphabet letters. I used a circle die to cover the Converse star. Sabrina (Cook22) asked us for 'Man Takes to Air' for the WT854. Check that, too. Not only the Monogramed Hot Air Balloon, but the lovely LaBlanche 'Astronomer' stamped in 'Smokey Gray'.
The IC these past two weeks have been full of fun choices to case. Of course, when I came across Converse Sneaker Hot Air Balloon it was meant to be. I used Donna Downey's sneaker stencil. It was fussy cut. I also took the gondola from a rubber stamp from the Frantic Stamper. It was stamped with the Memory Luxe 'Dandelion', embossed, and shadowed with Copics. Thank you, Stacy for IC815. Can't wait to see the gallery!!! Amy has brought us a new site named Apollo Box, I spied Hot Air Balloon Bedding and thought it captured the adventure those early 'ships of hot air' surely must have had!
This will be mailed (in a legal sized large envelope) to &d. No matter where life takes him, I know it will be quite an adventure, not unlike those early explorers! The dream and discover sentiment from Hero Arts is stamped above the astronomer and embossed with Ranger Embossing Powder 'Lemon Drop'.
Thank you to our challenge hostesses...I really enjoyed your similar themes. Have you ever taken a hot air balloon ride? Please tell me. I haven't checked that off my bucket list...thank you for stopping by.

Is the bottom right a stamp or on the BG paper? Can't make it out. You have a Converse stencil....of course!!!! And one of my fave stamps on the left....super for &d.

Cool astronomer image, but of course they would have never seen anything like this in the atmosphere! Love your giant sized sneaker and the &d monogram, Susan! What a great card~

Your imagination knows no bounds! It must fun to have a mother like you. Of course I love the large yellow sneaker but the tiny family in the corner is so cute!
