Color Challenge hosted by Chris: Black White Red with Christmas in July dessert option
I focused my card on a die-cut that was gifted to me by Ann aka annsforte3. It brings back fond childhood memories of going to the Tree Farm as a family and choosing our Christmas tree, which would be strapped to the top of our car to take home. The plaid background is cozy and reminds me of arriving home, changing into our warm Christmas PJs and having hot cocoa.
I stamped a tree line in black and put Wink of Stella under it. The die-cut openings were backed with red cardstock and a little glimmer paper for the headlight. My DH especially liked the resin hearts for the exhaust.
Thanks to Chris for the fun color combo and to Ann for the die-cut. TFL

What a splendid Christmas card and thank you for sharing your Christmas memory! I love red, white, and black for Christmas cards. We never cut our own tree when I was a kid but this reminds me of travelling back to my grandparent's farm at Christmas. Lovely!

Every element of this card is just delightful from the black and white plaid, to the dies, to the layout, and of course my favorite color combo!

Love that adorable image of the family heading back home with their Christmas tree! Diane, your card is beautifully put together ..... the curvy sentiment, the line of stamped trees, the black and white plaid, and the little hearts to indicate the car's exhaust! Love it!
