The youngest daughter of a friend of mine just graduated from high school. I made this card for her.
I used Tumbled Glass to blend the cloudy sky background. Because I knew I would stamp the rainbow over it, I made sure to keep the ink light. After I finished that, I stamped the base layers of the rainbow. This stamp set has each bow as a separate stamp, which makes it easy to stamp in multiple colors. It's also kind of wonky, which I think goes well with the recipient's personality.
After I stamped the rainbow, I made sure all the ink was dry. Then I heat embossed the accent layers over the corresponding bows with silver. I stamped the first part of the greeting above the rainbow, & then heat embossed the word "bright."
Because the rainbow didn't extend all the way to the bottom of the card front, & the ends were a bit raggedy, I decided to add a die cut cloud border. I die cut that from white cardstock, adhered it with foam tape along the bottom of my panel, & added Ice Stickles along the top edge of the border. What's a rainbow card without sparkle, after all? Once the Stickles dried, I adhered my card front to a white card base.
