I started a Travel the World card series in 2019, committing to virtually visit a different randomly-selected country each week (for 50 weeks), gathering tidbits of information about the country. I love to travel and this is one way I can "visit" countries that I might otherwise never see. As I learn about each country, I choose something about that country as inspiration for a card.
There are 195 countries in the world so in the first two years of this series I've "visited 100 countries, which means I still have quite a few to go.
This card is inspired by Guinea-Bissau, where there is a biosphere reserve in one of its many islands that serves as a natural habitat for thousands of bats that reside in the abandoned ruins there.
Please visit my blog for more photos/information about both Guinea-Bissau and my card...
