this is for my dad who loves fishing and hunting. he's pretty infirm now and can't hunt anymore and finds it difficult to get out fishing even. it does suit him well though being a lone fisherman in his boat out on a lake. Just a side note - i used to go fishing with my grandfather and dad when i was a kid. they always made me wear a life jacket even though i could swim, and they wouldn't wear one even though neither of them could swim. just sayin'! i stamped the image with distress inks and then added some softness with a wet brush. i wet down the "lake" area with water and then added wet ink (ink mixed with water) and filled in the lake. the boat, ducks and sentiment were stamped on once the scene was dry using a stamping platform. this is not really a mixability card but i added it to the challenge as it is one for the boys . tfl

This is beautiful! My DH luvs to fish alone in his canoe. Your background coloring is fantastic - so soft - allowing the man and his boat to be the focal point. I luv this! A fav for sure.

My goodness, this is such a beautiful scene. I am thinking any fishing dad would love this card. Glad to see you join the WCW challenge. Hope you return next week. I liked reading your post. They wanted to take good care of their daughter and granddaughter.

That's a beautifully coloured scene and a lovely story! I enjoyed reading and looking at both. I have a nephew-in-law who is an avid fisher and would love such a card. This is going into my favourites!
