LeAnne is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us soft pastel colors to welcome spring: Pool Party, So Saffron and Mint Macaron. The dessert option this week is "dots."
I was pleased to find a perfect sheet of DS paper in my May SimonSaysStamp kit, one that features all three of this week's colors in a lovely blend. The combination of the dandelions and this sentiment seem perfect for a sympathy card.
First, I used a stitched die to cut my rectangle from the paper, strategically selecting the areas that showed this week's colors. Then I moved the stamps around until I found a layout that appealed to me. Stamped in VersaMark, white heat embossed, added a Pool Party ribbon and mounted on a So Saffron base with foam tape. I added one teardrop gem right under the word, "peace." Not wanting to miss dessert, I used my white paint pen to add dots all over the front of the card.
This was a pretty easy card to create, and yet I think it's a lovely sympathy card. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create with this week's colors!

such a lovely card and design for sending condolences Barbara- the background paper is so soft - love how you added the white paint dots - looks like parts of the dandelions are blowing away

Barbara, I'm amazed you had dsp that matched this week's colors! This card is so tranquil, ideal for a sympathy card. Your dots are jaw droppers, I don't know how you made this so perfectly. Gorgeous card!
