I laugh when I see a wet on wet challenge because trying to keep a paper wet in the desert is next to impossible! Still we work with what we've got and I have learned for the most part how to keep rewetting my paper without getting too much of the the "cauliflower bloom". I also have to work at breakneck speed to be able to manage some subtle blending - Laughing again because FAST BEGINNER watercolorist should definitely be an oxymoron! Anyway - here is my try at today's wheat field challenge.

I agree, ( and since I am at work I have only just clicked on the video) (not tried breakneck painting) but, I love how vibrant you got your colors here Linda this is so pretty.

You have it all figured out how to deal with the desert. This painting is wonderful with great depth. Loving the colors you created for the sunset is truly brilliant. Very detailed wheat with your wet on dry technique. Another challenge you nailed. Fav'd TFS

You gave me a chuckle. I know that desert is dry but you sure managed to get some awesome colors and I love your pretty wheat field. More super work you've given us.

Your beautiful rust mat really makes your vibrant sunset burst off the card. It is gorgeous! I, too, got a giggle out of your breakneck painting and desert techniques. I had to keep rewetting my paper as well on this one. I think part of it is the paper. I'm going to give in and buy some Arches paper.
