I was at the thrift store and scored this cool container - basically an open wire container, I think to hold a candle. I already have one almost identical, so was happy to find another. It makes a great pencil holder. The first one I had used a blue plastic bottle for the insert, but didn't have another big enough, so I used a clear peanut butter jar instead. The hardest part was cutting the bottle open and resizing the plastic to fit in this piece. Once I had it cut to fit, I applied alcohol inks to color it blue. I allowed it to dry and then slipped it inside the container and it was done.

Oh wow this is gorgeous. I was only reading last night on a craft site about a lady who picks up vintage and cute containers at thrift stores and garage sales to put her pens in. Love what you made. So creative. TFS. Happy day
