For Linda, a card I would have sent to my mother, who loved irises.
This is what I wrote inside:
Dear Linda,
My mother, my stamping buddy, loved irises. They were planted all along the side of her house. When I see an iris, I think of her.
She has been gone four years, and I miss her still. I always shall. But now, instead of tears, I smile - remembering so much of her.
Sending hugs, my friend, knowing you will eventually smile too.

Such a lovely touch to create a card for Linda with the Iris which reminds you of your own Mother! I love your sentiment and the rounded corners!

Beautiful card and coloring on the iris. Your message inside is so supportive and encouraging. What a great way to share your experience and help Linda through this tough time. Brilliant and Loving and Kind.

Beautiful, Anne. My grandmother gifted me some of her purple iris before she died. Every spring we say "Grandma's eyes are smiling" when they bloom. Thanks for making such a heartfelt card for Linda.

Is it four years! I found a card from her just the other day when I was sorting through a box. Weren't you lucky to have had her for so long. As soon as I saw your title I thought yes, now I remember that Evelyn did like irises. Nice to have a flower that reminds you so much of her.

Beautiful job of colouring that iris. Love the green and mauve together, so refreshing and springlike. Thanks for sharing a bit of you and your mother with us. Lovely note you included inside.

Oh Anne Linda is going to love what you wrote on the inside. I am tearing up just reading it. I still have my mom and MIL but I fear losing them when God says he is ready for them to come home.
