Mary is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some luscious colors: Rococo Rose, Bumblebee, and Just Jade. The dessert option is a Mother's Day card or a feminine card.
I started with several pieces of watercolor paper, and sprayed them with the Distress Oxide sprays. Sprayed with water and dried. The mottled effect shows best on the stems and leaves on this card. My goal was to have some color variation, but didn't get much with the blossoms. More practice is needed!
I cut the watercolored pieces with the flower dies, and also cut a base layer for each stem in white.
The background is a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that I embossed with a new embossing folder. Then I lightly ran a brayer over it with Picket Fence paint to give it a slightly distressed look. Arranged the flowers, added a bow and the greeting, and a few enamel dots.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!
