This card was made for Sketch Saturday Challenge #655. I knew when I saw the sketch that I wanted to use the beautiful birds from Stampin' Up! (SU) "Bird Ballad" designer series paper. The edges were VERY intricate, so I used my Borther ScanNCut digital cutting machine to do most of the cutting out of the birds, but had to use an X-acto Knife to trim between the birds' legs and small blossoms.
The birds were glued to a piece of pink cardstock which had rounded corners. The green waving punch at the bottom (per the sketch) were punched from green cardstock, the the border was cut by hand using paper snips following the outside border of the punched piece.
The pink half pearls were glued beneath the bird panel.
After I finished the card I realized I hadn't stamped on it at all. That's REALLY unusual for me!!! Because of this, I can use the card for just about any occasion such as a birthday, friendly note, get well, or for any feminine reason!
I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" because of the need to do so much cutting. If you don't have a digital cutting machine, I'd rate it as a "3" or "4".
