I created this card for Send a Smile 4 Kids. Mother's Day in the U.S. comes up next month, & they need cards for the kids to send to their moms.
I opened the "Sweet as Hunny" image in Photoshop, & copied it to a blank "canvas" I'd created, sized to fit the sketch. I resized the image, & printed it onto a piece of vellum bristol paper.
I created a custom greeting in Photoshop, using the "Apple Butter" font. I printed that onto a strip of yellow cardstock.
I used my Prismacolor pencils to color the image, and went over the eyes with a black glaze pen to add a bit of shine. I cut patterned paper panels, & adhered them to a card base, adding a narrow strip of black cardstock between them. I then adhered my image panel. I matted my greeting strip with a 1/16" black border on the top & bottom, and adhered that so the bee is "standing" on it, to ground him.
