This is my sample for CC838. LeAnn is our hostess and she chose basic white, basic black and basic gray for her color trio. Dessert option this week is your favorite color.
So I interpreted this color combination in a different way. One of my fave colors right now is purple and I love the 3 Stampin'-Up purple shades. So I put the dessert option front and center and used 3 shades of purple. I still used the white, black and gray but in a scaled down manner.
My card started with the layout and I used the MojoMonday#556.
My background designer paper (purple posy) is from the Stampin'-Up "playing with patterns" collection. I also used the Stampin'-Up gingham gala (highland heather) designer paper for the long rectangle layer.
I embossed the center panel (gorgeous grape) with the Stampin'-Up greenery embossing folder. For my image panel I used the cute little fox from the CottageCutz "Spring Tea Party" die. I cut her in smoky slate and basic gray. Her nose and eyes are in black. So that covers the main color trio.
I added some purple flowers in her hair and scattered a few gorgeous grape rhinestones. The sentiment is from the Stampin'-Up set "a nice cuppa".
This will go to my friend for Mother's Day. She loves tea and teacups.

What a fun and adorable way to approach this color challenge! Your sketch is perfect for that cute little bunny and I love how you added the checks and texture.

I adore your "different" take on this color combo, emphasizing your favorite color and still getting in the challenge colors. Once again, I marvel at your interpretation of a card sketch. I looked at that one a drew a blank, and you created such a beauty with it! Love all the different panels, the embossed texture, and of course, the adorable little fox!
