This card is for the Teapot Party challenge and will wing its way across the oceans to Delores who recently turned 99. As it will take some time to get there I chose to send a cheery hello.
The challenge was to use B&W with a pop of colour however when I got out all of my B&W papers, none of them seemed to appeal. I wanted to send Delores some pop of colour so I chose to use my B&W paper for die cutting the framed image which is of native Aussie flowers.
The BG was made very quickly by swiping paints across white CS. The die cut was plonked on top and stickles and the Hello Die cut added. I'm already late to the Party so I chose to go the quick and easy route.
I hope that this brings a smile to Delores' face....wow 99...now that is an achievement.
TFL. Happy day

Another beautiful card- LOVE the colors and the beautiful Aussie flower! Love the white grid too- on the black background- gives a great level of texture!

Gorgeous! The grid paper for the die cut is so interesting -- I am going to keep that in mind for future projects. Love the colors in the bg and the way you can see the swipes. Look perfect for the flowers. Fabulous card,

What an optical illusion. I had to read your writer twice and then tell myself firmly that the die-cut layer was an overlay and the swiped background the underny layer. I am sure both ladies will really enjoy the Australian theme as well as the excitement of getting mail from Down Under.
