I think Shirley's "Building" challenge was very appropriate for me today---my kitchen is finally finished! I got my appliances delivered this morning and I'm ready to move back in. It's like a whole new house. So I could have made a kitchen card--maybe a thank you card for one of the many people that worked on this fabulous room, but I really wanted to use my SU Little Trucks. A friend asked me to make her a first birthday card for her grandson. She likes her cards personalized. I like to make more interactive cards for kids, so I thought I would finally make my liquid shaker card for Jen's VSN Challenge.
First I stamped the two little trucks and drew in the ground below them. Then I drew a big one. I flipped the paper over, held it up to the light, and traced the one. Then I had my ScanNCut cut it out. I keep pretty much every ziplock baggie that comes my way. I definitely get that from my grandmother. So I had just the right one to fill with some hairgel, reinker and star shaped sequins. The last thing I needed was a glittery name at the bottom. Thanks for two fun challenges!

Fabulous heavy equipment!! Great birthday card. When our eldest was less than 2, he could tell the name of every heavy construction piece (his grampa was a construction engineer, and gave him all his magazines). As a result, when our son heard "Puff the magic dragon", he thought it said DRAGLINE, because he knew what that was. I still laugh over it!!!
