Maybe the MIXed media challenge will be along later. In the meantime, with a morning off and a real holiday feel here because DH also took the last two days off, I had fun making this. It's for Toni's challenge, because it shows how I use the last bit of Stickles left in the bottle when you can't do much with it. I take the tip off, add a little water to thin it, and then empty it into a small dish. From that, I can either paint or spatter it over backgrounds in my box. I have no idea what the colours on this are, I know it's the Galeria textured paper for acrylics from Winsor & Newton. I painted it all over with the remnants of a bottle of Stardust. I thought it looked a little like a river flowing across the page, so I plonked my flamingo at the edge of it, stamping directly on the base and also on white card for piecing. He's coloured with Polychromos pencils and some Mermaid Marker highlights, with Glossy Accents on his beak and feet. I used an offcut of alcohol inks on Yupo cut roughly to create something more solid for him to stand on. The left edge was finished off with a black Sharpie. I added a die-cut border and some much-loved and long-hoarded Sizzix paper to finish it off.
Time to start getting organised for April birthdays pretty soon!

Adorable flamingo and I love your coloring. He looks fabulous on that Yupo remnant. Love the tip on the stickles and I can see your sparkly stream of it on the card. Very cool effect. Great card and someone will love getting this fun greeting.

Impressive on so many levels! I should be so lucky to reach the end of a bottle of Stickles. I really like the hint of glitter and wonder what it would look like in real life.
