Hello and welcome to this weekâs Color Challenge. Mary is hosting and she chose Purple Posey, Coastal Cabana, and Night of Navy (such a great combination!) for us this week. The dessert option is designer paper.
The idea for my card all began with designer paper and navy cardstock. I knew I wanted navy to be my background color and I knew I wanted navy and white designer paper. After searching through all of my paper packs, I found this navy and white piece of scrap paper that reminded me of Victorian wallpaper. Out of curiosity, I Googled Victorian wallpaper and found a sample that looks very similar to my designer paper.
So, with my background all set, I wanted to use a stamp with a bit of Victorian flair. I went with a classic floral stamp from Hero Arts. I used alcohol markers to color in the petals but left the leaves alone. Now that the Victorian theme was in full swing, coloring the leaves didnât seem fitting. To finish, I added a modern era sentiment and adhered it all onto a top folding white A2 card.
Thank you for stopping by and please join in on this weekâs color challenge.

This is SO elegant! I've used that pattern in cream when we lived in a Victorian style home so I totally concur that it is the theme. I'm sure this lovely greeting will be well received.
