I right away thought of how we all need guy cards, and that a fisherman's vest would be perfect! After looking on the internet for patterns and feeling most were kinda blah, I stumbled across a vest pattern that looked like it would work at: https://app.box.com/representation/f...ame=uyezd39vtd . It was just a png file, so my only choice was to print out the template, temporarily glue it to a piece of dark brown heavy cardstock and fussy cut it out by hand. There was no instructions for assembly, so I just winged it!
I've seen vests where the top pocket has a lambs wool top so you can attach fishing flies to it, so I used a lighter tan to serve for these. I even used gold wire a fashioned a fishing hook which I attached to it using a super tiny piece of mini glue dot rolled into a log so it would fit behind the tiny wire.
The buttons on the vest were created with a small hole punch from the same darker cardstock, that I then put just a dab of Ranger's Glossy Accents to simulate shiny buttons. The "fishing line" is tan sewing thread, and the "bobber" is a 3/8" circle punched from red cardstock, then glued to a narrow strip of white paper that I used a circle punch to round the ends. A white marker was used to give some highlights to the bobber.
The final touch was to use a narrow dark brown pen to put "stitches" around the pockets. I lined the inside with an off-white sheet cut to fit the vest so that I could write a personal greeting on it.
I am rating the difficulty level as a "4" out of a possible "5" because I had to do all the cutting by hand, and there was a lot of little details that had to be carefully added.
