Hello and welcome to the Tuesday Color Challenge! Our wonderful host is Karen. Karenâs chosen Mango Melody, Pear Pizzazz, and Flirty Flamingo for us this week. The dessert option is to use a stitched die cut.
Today, Iâm showing a card using dies from Cottage Cutz. Itâs one of the die sets that I received back in August for being a CC800 contest winner. Itâs finally making its debut on SCS even though this isnât my first time using it. I really love how cute it is.
I chose to place the die cut images on a simple white background. I just hope itâs not too simple. I asked my husband about it and he said that he liked how the white âmade the colors pop!â Alright then, guess I made the right decision!
For the dessert, I used My Favorite Things stitched dies. I added one of the neutral colors for the bird. Hope you enjoy my card.
Be sure to join us this week. I canât wait to see the creative ways that youâll all come up with using these beautiful colors.

This is really pretty Marianne- I always get my hubby’s opinion on my cards as well- he has a good eye as well - and with the white background your colors do pop

How very sweet! I love the pretty flowers and the hummingbird! I agree with your DH--the two white layers are a perfect background--a little interest in the stitching, but not to take away from the flowers. So pretty!

Beautiful die cuts Marianne, your husband was right about the white background making the flowers and hummingbird POP! Sometimes less is more, however, I wish I would take my own advise, haha, especially with this week's challenge card! Love your elegant design!
