For this week's Teaparty, we're being inspired by Mary Nohl, a Wisconsin artist who made a lot of concrete statues for yard art. Her biggest piece was a 12-foot dinosaur, and to my mind dinos and dragons are sort of in the same family, so I ended up with a dragon card. Because Mary was lucky enough to not have to work for a living she was able to dedicate her life to doing what she enjoyed and I think this sentiment sort of sums that up.

Your dragon is lovely, Sandy. He made me think of a clock in Paris that has a knight slaying a dragon - we went once to watch it, and had to wait till the right time. It was smaller than I was expecting, but still pretty cool. You did a lot of research and ended up with such a fun card. I like the green sequins.

Such a magical card, Sandy, now that I think on it, why didn't she do a dragon??????????????????????? yes the vandalism was sad. She took it in stride for the most part and if kids got over her fence but did no damage, she didn't press charges. How sad she had to worry about that and put that ugly chainlink around. I have a little story that I'll share in the challenge thread.

Great card. I think the sentiment says so much. Life is short...break the rules. This surely applies to Mary as an artist. Sadly, I lack that kind of freedom and artistic expression. But I'm trying to stretch myself a bit. Anyway, this card is wonderful.
