My heart is hurting for my dear friend and #1 craft enabler Judy. Her husband of many many years passed this week from natural causes just days shy of his 91st birthday. Judy was always devoted to his care and well being; but never more so than these past few months when she vigilantly stayed by his bedside 24/7. His passing leaves so many holes for her.
Judy loves purple and butterflies; I love the symbolism of butterflies so those were the natural choices for this card. I recently spotted this card from Jennifrann MMTPT652 The Year of the Ox by Jennifrann at Splitcoaststampers which inspired me to use layers. I didn't have any appropriate dp, so I stamped and embossed scraps of purple cardstock. Judy likes to keep her cards on display around her, so I added a sentiment of hope on the front and will put my expressions of sympathy inside. The sentiment is computer generated using Excel so I could color the bg. The font is Keep Calm.
I am sending thoughts of hope and love out to the world today. My hope for you is that you be surrounded by love -- people, things, activities -- whatever brings you joy. There is so much good out there when we can just see past the sad, the bad, the angry. Have a wonderful day. TFL.

How sad for your friend. I'm sure she will appreciate this beautiful card. Lovely combination of stamping and texture in the layers, and s message that speaks to love lasting beyond the grave.

Beautiful card! I like your choice of love endures for the front, rather than in sympathy. Perfectly suited to the butterfly and your friend's situation.

Hear, hear to your thoughts at the end!!!! I'm so sorry about your friend's husband. A wife, companion and caretaker....a huge job, she will have lots to contemplate. Your card is a vision in purple.
