I got the inspiration for this card from Pinterest. Someone had posted on the SCS forum about a woman who lives in an assisted living facility who turned 100 years old last month. So I created this card to send to her.
For the image, I used several watercolor stamps from Art Impressions. I began with the pot, and then built my bouquet above it. I placed my watercolor paper in my MISTI, & used Tombow markers to ink up each stamp as I went. The MISTI let me stamp each piece more than once if I needed to. I used a damp paintbrush to spread out the ink. After I finished, I used a brown marker & damp brush to add a surface for the pot to sit on, just so it wasn't floating in mid-air.
I embossed a banner I cut from pink cardstock with the "Ben-Day Dots" folder. I cut another banner from the same pink and stamped my greeting towards the right end in Milk Chocolate ink. I punched 2 butterflies from white cardstock. I glued one flat to the banner, & layered the second one on top, gluing just along the body portion. Finally, I added 2 pearls to the body.
I used a piece of doily I had left over from another project to put behind my image panel. I adhered all my pieces to a panel of Jawbreaker cardstock, and mounted that to a white card base.
