I am always fascinated by the creativity in the challenge categories and how folks interpret them! We watch the Amazing Race. We fantasize that if we were younger, we might have tried out for the wild competition as we love travel and adventure. Although I think my fear of heights and eating bugs probably would have eliminated us pretty quickly! Anyway, I made this BG a while back for the alcohol marble challenge. The green ink didn't mix well and was blotchy which created this island in the ocean look. I let it sit for a while as I want to use it for the travel challenge but didn't quite have it together until this week. I added the TH die cut globe and North and South America die cut from another alcohol BG. Added the umbrella as it needed a little something. Added FSJ sentiment, roughed edges as the AR challenges can be gritty. TFL

Was that pearlescent ink by any chance? I didn't watch the video, so I didn't know from that that neither the pearl nor the mixatives would work well, and I tried both - with similar effects. But like you, I liked what I got and have/will use the pieces with clumped ink. Love the combination of parasol and globe, and it's certainly perfect on your background.

What a great background and world! Super card and so fun you captured the feel of one of your favorite shows too. Fun! Hugz
