Lydia's challenge was to use junk as the substrate for a card. I went a slightly different route. I decide to play in my junk/art journal. A couple of months ago I gathered up junk mail, scraps of paper, bulletins from church that had been in my bible for years, and some junk business envelopes. I layered them and stitched them together. I have been having so much fun with this junk journal because it is very freeing to say, I can do whatever I want. The journal was just junk. I can't mess it up. This page was made with a print that I pulled this week with my gel press using parchment paper. I stamped over it, doodled, and colored with kingarts gel sticks. The dragonflies I used metallic gel sticks. I stamped my pill bottle onto the page to mimic the circles. I used gel pen to journal on the black frame.

Super idea to recycle junk in a lovely way like this, MariLynn. I can see it would be freeing. Love your texture and pretty stamps on this page. Lovely! Hugz

What a beautiful journal page and great images and colors. That would be so much fun to make a journal and do what ever I wanted and not worry about it. I might need to do that so I can just play.
