You could be any color of the rainbow, Mr. Grinch....I am a huge fan of green but that's not why you haven't any friends. Your heart needs to grow!!!!!!!
One of my earliest memories of Christmas books is How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss. And then there was the animated version, which I saw on TV in 1966. I was 14. I have always loved this story. Boris Karloff's voice was perfect. At the time, I didn't know he was in horror films.
This is for yesterday's IC, Friday's MIX, and today's FS. Melissa is a new DG AND this week's FS. So fun for her!
I kept her layout and the top embossed by an embossing folder, but all else is different. This card was so hard for me....couldn't get the angles right, tried to heat emboss the sentiment and his face, what a mess. I used the whisper white ink to bring out Whoville at the top, added some glitter snow and added some funky colors with cs and sequins for the MIX-non-traditional Christmas colors. About the only things traditional are the middle green and the red sequins.
I think I'll watch the 1966 version tonight. The newer ones are ok but they can't touch Mr. Karloff.

Love it. I never knew the Grinch story as a kid. But when the Jim Carrey version came out on PPV I taped it; my niece and I watched it almost every weekend for months. We both loved that movie. Thanks for the memory.

How fun is this! We used the same card to case and I love how the Grinch stole the show for meeting the criteria for both of these challenges. Such a cute idea!

Fun card and I love your village. The Grinch makes me smile...great face. Be sure you don't get mixed up and watch a horror with Karloff tonight.

Jean, this is such a fun Grinch card and great case of Melissa's card. You kept the same basic layout and yet created something so different. Love the black embossed layer.
