Hello and TFL!
Here is a holiday Tag decorated with several used TEA BAGS, opened up and taped down to White paper and then die cut with S U Succulent flowers die. They were SO FUN to make!!
This project is a Mixed Media challenge MMJ09 (thanks NANCY, my sweet spot) where the challenge was to use Tea Bags. I love using tea bags and my gallery has a couple more Tea Bag succulent flower tags, as well as many other Tea Bags used as paper on cards, if you are interested. Also there is a Tea Bag Tutorial on this website, check it out! : )
I made my BG paper when I rolled up some Bazzill Marshmallow paper (thick and absorbent) and put it in my leftover TEA in the mug to set overnight. This background paper is the OMBRE i got from that experiment.
Loved it, so i flattened out the rolled up paper and stamped the girl. I colored Read Red accents on her clothing and flowers. Soft Suede on her boots, hair and basket.
Light Petal Pink Alcohol marker on her face.
I sprayed the tea bag paper with the Champagne Mist sparkly All Purpose Ink. IRL, this succulent is just dazzling!! Used Tombow permanent mono adhesive roll on tape onto White paper bg, then ran thru with Succulent dies. Curled edges with a bone folder, layered with Tombow mono glue. Rolled and glued the smallest petal die around a 1/2 round pearl to make a 'center' bud.
Last, I splattered some WHITE acrylic paint on top.
I also have several succulent projects in my gallery. My very first posting ever... at the very bottom, also an album with a few more. IF succulents are your thing : )
hope you are enjoying the fall holidays making! stay well everyone, Teresa

Your image makes me think of Holly Hobbie! So sweet! Loved reading all the details of how you made this. Your flower looks amazing. Love how soaking the bazzill paper in tea gave you this gorgeous look! So very creative!
