Another bird for Cathy's How Tweet It Is challenge.
The background is my first turkey, a fail from Jean's Monday challenge. Shhh, I didn't watch the video. I know she said we only needed to watch 6 minutes, and that's about the span of my patience, but I'm still short on time these days and I just launched in. So I didn't know that Jennifer had said that pearl inks and mixatives didn't work. I tried them both... the pearl ones were total rejects, but the gold mixative on this piece looked so pretty that I still wanted to use it. I added a grass border cut from one of my other marbled pieces, and then added the little turkey and the sentiment popped up on foam.
Added it to a white square embossed with pinewood planks, and then added a matting layer picking up on the turkey colours.

The background for your cute little turkey is so pretty, Sabrina! Now I'll have to go see what Jean's challenge was! Thanks again for another wonderful sample!

I had to laugh at your "two" turkeys. The bg looks great to me, and the turkey in his colorful plumage takes center stage!!

If only the turkeys that visit our yard every day were this cute. Fun scene and great framing. Turkeys are such a nuisance and leave “calling cards” everywhere we have to walk, plus eating all the squirrel and rabbit food we put out - flocks of up to 14 at a time.

This turkey is adorable! I think the gold looks great on this one. I was glad that you had warned about the mixatives because I definitely would've tried them.

Ah Sabrina! So glad to know that I am not the only one who doesn't have time to watch a 6 minute video. I love that you rescued and used the piece with the gold on it. It makes a great background for your little turkey.
