Stamped my oak leaves with DOX Peeled Paint on WC paper. My first attempt, I got too much water and ended up with a mess except for the large leaf which I fussy cut hoping in the end to add a bit of dimension to my project. My second attempt the leaves still look like leaves so I consider this "useable" . . . the leaves did dry lighter and required several layers of color to get some intensity so with this in mind I made the bg a bit darker from the start and wouldn't you know - it dried the same color it was when wet. - Go figure.
Now don't laugh - oh well go ahead - I actually struggle with adding spatters, so today, I practiced and spattered a whole legal sized paper before I tried to add spatters to my painting. Trimmed my dried piece with a deckle edged die and framed with several autumn colored rectangles. Attached my fussy cut leaf to float over the corner of the frame and stamped Autumn in Crimson to complete my card.

Wow! Your leaves are stunning! They look like they are whisking by! I love the light watercolor wash in the background. I am totally with you on the splatters! I have practiced and practiced splattering and I am still mostly unhappy. Wait until you see the enormous splatter I made on something I have created to post later this week!

Love that you kept the large leaf from your first attempt to add interest to your card. I think your splatters came out great! I struggle with splatter too. I've finally "got" myself a splatter box (just a cardboard box to do my splattering in) it allows me to splatter away and not be constrained by trying not to make a mess. What a fabulous autumn leaves image!

Oh, I think this is beautiful and a great job coloring. I like how you used the fussy cut leaf as it makes it look like the wind is blowing. The splatters look great.

First your watercoloring is gorgeous. So much depth to the leaves. Sure like the movement of the leaves. Great save on the one leaf, makes a great design to the card. You are not the only one with splatter problems. Using a toothbrush and the box like Jennifer does works. Happy you played this week and gave us this beauty. TFS

Beautiful work once again Linda. Wonderful movement in your leaves. I also love the bleed of the red ... I do that on purpose at times as the look is awesome, like on this card.
