Thanks Stacy for encouraging us with Soft Surroundings. I know that catalog company well! Pampered and gorgeous things. I would so wear Indigo Kilim Leggings. I loved the impressionist flowers on the dark fabric and the purple/orange combination.
This weeks Sketch was an interesting one. I did take a few liberties with it, but think the basic essence is still there. Thank you Pat, for bringing it to us. I changed it from an A2 card to a 6.25 square. The focus panel was turned on it's point to better fit my focal. I changed where I put my sentiment to the diagonal element and turned the oval to mirror the narrow rectangle.
Lynn Ward's Acey Ducey 'Bead Keeper' pocketbook is so detailed. The woman's hat is actually an owl with it's wings spread out. The embossing powder obscured it. I fussy cut the pocketbook.
The Emerson quote: Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not. What an important thought for all of us! I included a mirror to remember to smile.
Thank you, Stacy for a beautiful website of soft comfy things. And Pat, thank you for a sketch that exercised my brain! Happy weekend all...thanks for stopping by...

Wow, this is so rich in pattern and textures from the smooth, shiny surface of your mirror piece to that wonderful frayed ribbon from which it dangles. Beautiful combination of papers too and great colors. Your sentiment always stir the soul!!
