My card for Toni's challenge to use blue, and also for Susie's challenge of using blue for the main color.
Gina K did a you tube of stamping with real leaves:
We went for a walk yesterday and picked up some leaves. Basically you just wash them in water and dry between paper towels, but watch the video to find more details if you want to try this. Love Gina's teaching.
I used the side of the nib of the copper pen to go around the copper foil border. I was happy how this turned out and it will be for dh's Sept. birthday coming up. He likes blue! tfl.

Thanks, Shirl for mentioning the technique...it's that time of year for finding all sorts of wonderful leaves! Yours is striking with the copper accents. And perfect for a fall birthday.

The title makes me think of butterflies because we have one called a copper blue here. Your leaf is pretty spectacular looking, Shirl! Wonderful texture in it, and it looks super against the deep blue.

Your copper leaf is incredible .... and very special because of the technique you used. Your hubby is going to love this! I really like the fonts on your sentiment, too, Shirl!
