For today's Watercolor challenge - Kia is asking us to stamp with watercolors. I watched the video she linked to in the challenge
My tree has 3 stamps - the solid trunk/branches, the leaves, and an outline stamp of the trunk/branches.
I put my watercolor paper panel in my stamp positioner and put purple tape around the edges to hold it down and to create a clean frame.
I watercolored the background sky and ground first over wet watercolor paper in blue and green.
When that was dry, I placed the solid tree trunk stamp in my positioner and brushed over the stamp with watery brown paint. I stamped it onto the water color paper - repeating until I had the coverage I wanted.
Then I put the leaf stamp in my positioner and brushed over it first with watery orange (and stamped) then watery yellow (and stamped) and a little bit of watery green (and stamped) drying between each color.
I debated whether to use the tree outline stamp but felt I wanted that detail on the tree- so I cheated here and placed it in my positioner and stamped it with dark chocolate ink.
I added little brush strokes of watercolor green for shoots of grass and stamped my sentiment right on the panel.
I layered the panel to a slightly larger brown panel and then to a white card base.
I am enjoying learning these different techniques with these Wednesday water color challenges!

Great take on this technique for your lovely fall tree. Thanks for the detailed deets on how you did it. I like the added stamping of the brown for detail, and your grass. Happy you enjoyed doing this....we all need a little happy in these times. TFS

Beautiful card with your stamps. I used a few stamps, too. But, it was fun. That is such a pretty and unusual tree.

This is lovely with the fall colors! the final stamping of the trunk gives just enough detail to this and the little grass strokes are a nice detail as well.
