This card is for Cathy's Way to Use It Challenge where we had to use cling film, and also for the Teapot Party.
I had previously tried the cling film technique and didn't get good results. When I saw Cathy's challenge I knew I wanted to give it another go. This time I used acrylic paints and didn't scrunch my cling film so tightly. After drying overnight and removing the cling film it left me with this which I am loving.
When I saw the Teapot Party this week and a request to send cards to Beth, I knew I could use this panel as she likes blue. I already had the sentiment die cut in my stash in gold and decided to add some butterflies. The pink ones were sent to me by Helen (Helekins) and I had previously fussy cut the bottom one in gold. Don't you love it when you can use stash that you've previously cut?
Inside I have stamped blue flowers and an appropriate greeting to Beth.
TFL. Happy day

This turned out so pretty. I could not get such a pretty look for mine. I think I will try it with acrylics the next time I try. I love this.

Wow, what a fabulous background you've created! I like how you let the background be the focal point, and added the sentiment and those wonderful butterflies to enhance it!

Great bg Jayne! I don't know if I've tried acrylics for this..it's usually been brushos or inks. I like the look of the paints...and those butterflies are lovely!

The texture in that is amazing, Jayne. It looks like glass, almost, or some of enameling - and while I'm sure you didn't use glossy card with acrylics, it almost has that look. I always leave the wrap in place for at least an hour when I'm doing mine. And yes, it's great to be able to use little bits ready to go. I always have a large assortment of butterflies looking for somewhere to land .

Love the bg too and it's always fun what we all see: for me, I see leaf patterns in the bg which I think is perfect for your lovely butterflies. A beauty for Beth for sure.

I love the look you got on this - I need to try using the paints and being patient enough to wait to remove it (one of my downfalls with this technique - lol). Lovely card - I know she loved it. Hugz
