While I've been off work, I've been catching up on videos from some of my favorite card-makers. In the process, I came across some cards using this new-to-me HAPPY BIRTHDAY die from MFT. And, lucky me, they were having a sale that day. There was no question - I needed to make it mine. Let me tell you, it is a dream to work with and makes easy work of putting together a stack of quick birthday cards for the stash. For the 3 I'm posting here, I went super simple with an ink blended background made using Distress Oxides. But there are so many other ideas floating around in my head right now.
To start, I ink blended a 4 1/8" piece of cardstock using Peeled Paint, Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans.
I die cut the sentiment from Bazzill diamond bling cardstock panel of the same size. I adhered the 2 layers and inlaid the insides of the letters.
To assemble, I added 2 layers of navy blue matting to my focal panel and mounted to a green Bazzill panel mounted to my card base. To finish this one off, I added several (hopefully not too many) star sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
Inside sentiment: Wishing you the happiest birthday ever
Check out my other 2 cards to see how a few simple changes make this card look totally different.
