The Watercolor challenge had us doing wet on wet technique this week. I tried three with my water colors and was not happy with the results. then I tried using re-inkers and was a little more happy with the results. This one was at leat good enough to make into a card. I'll send it to someone who won't look too closely. I need lots more practice and probably some better watercolors.

These are very reminiscent of the shape of sweet peas so I'd say you did an awesome job, Pat. Very realistic looking and love the treatment where the stems and flowers meet.

You created some beautiful freehand flowers. My first card was not a success, either. So, I tried again until I liked it. Glad you are playing with us again this week.

I love this! I saw this from the gallery thumbnail and my first thought was "this looks like our WCW technique" and it is! I think you did a gorgeous job on this! The yellow flowers are so cheerful! I really like the splatters too!

I'm so excited to see everyone embracing watercolor. It is not easy but worth the struggle. This is so great, especially for a beginner. I'd say use the best paper you can and buy a couple of Daniel Smith colors. You will see your work improve. Hope to see more of this from you.

I love how you said you'll send it to someone who won't notice. HA! I've been using some old stamps and supplies as I'm on a fixed income now, but the people I give it to won't know it. Everyone on SCS will though. The secret is out of the bag! Now to your card. I think you d id a fantastic job with your watercoloring. I struggle SO MUCH with it, but keep trying b/c I love the effect. I've tried the splat on cards, but I can't get it right. You did a fantastic job on the challenge.
