My card for this week's Teaparty, hosted by Susie (susie australia), Paper Hugs. Susie suggested several "paper" techniques to use for our cards, and I chose paper piecing as I haven't done it in a while, and it is fun to do!
My card is very simple paper piecing--the ladybug & flower were stamped on Very Vanilla in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and die-cut with a circle die. I then stamped them using the same ink on the various patterned papers, & cut out the pieces. (I love the ladybug on the red plaid paper! I had one scrap of that left, and she just fit on it.)
I die-cut two more circles from the Green Apple CS & layered the images. I stamped the sentiment bubble onto Very Vanilla using Green Galore ink, & die cut that with the matching die.
Used one of the slopes edge dies to cut out the "grass", & layered that onto the other PP. Layered all onto Green Apple CS, & to the front of the card.
I hope my "paper hug" brings some smiles to the Teaparty recipients, who could use some cheer today.

Your grass paper is beautiful, and the little check ladybird made me smile so much! I am sure that Janet and Bruce will be smiling too when she flies in to their letterbox.

Your paper hug will indeed bring lots of smile to Janet and Bruce. I love this sweet scene you have created and your paper pieced ladybug is the icing on the cake. Thanks for bringing this treasure to the teaparty Liz.
