For a soon-to-be 14 year old grandson it's his game controller.
My usual: Print image, color, slap on a piece of cardstock; mount to background; mount to card base. The hair on this image is quite short and curly. I tried to "enlarge" it a bit, but I think I made it look like a helmet. Oh well, he doesn't expect too much artistry from DeDe. LOL.
On this background I was experimenting with the brayer and dye inks. I used an old Marvy Matchables orange ink pad. Smooshed it on my glass mat, spritzed and brayered through the ink and then brayered the card stock. I found with this dye ink at least I needed more ink on the glass mat then when I used the distress oxides. And it didn't transfer quite as much as the DOs, but I really liked the white spots so I was happy with the process overall. Dried and then stenciled with the same ink.
That's it for this one. Hope you are having a day enjoying all you love. TFL.

Oh wow Debbie! What a fabulous birthday card this is for a pre-teen grandson. The background is fantastic my friend! I love reading your descriptions how you create your backgrounds, and I was really thrilled when I read you used an old Marvy Matchables orange ink pad to make this! Swoon- this is my all-time favorite ink! The stenciling you did on the background mimics computer-related images which is perfect for your gaming pre-teen image here. Your coloring is really fabulous Debbie, and brings this image to life so nicely. Your grandson is going to love this card you made just for him! ~Karen.

Fab background and I love how you "fixed" his hair to fit him. I can't imagine how fun my Grandsons are going to be at 14! I guess I better brush up on my video game skills! Hugz
