Lisa is hosting this weeks special teaparty for Sandy, a dear friend of Shelly aka SCS'r mcshmidty.
I have taken my inspiration from the fabulous pink and purple pot that Lisa found for us. The flowers on the pot reminded me of this Sherri Baldy image.
The background was one of the many failed attempts I have had using Karen Dunbrooks terrific Scrape Painting tutorial shown on the HOME page.
I took all the failed pieces and squirted some Jane Davenport metallic paint on one piece, then squished it into all the other pieces.
To add a bit of interest I rubbed some white paint over a stencil using my finger. As the paint dried it seemed to absorb the colour from underneath. I like the effect so I did not repeat the process.
The photo looks purply-pink, but in real life it is more pinky-purple. Somewhere between making the card and taking the photo "hello" has fallen off. I will fix that now before I walk to the post box.
Thank you for looking. Stay safe.

Super sweet with the gal and your amazing coloring. So now you have a magic finger too! Love how you did the stenciling with the paint and finger. Really looks cool. TFS

Your colouring is always wow, your backgrounds are always fascinating and so full of detail and interest. I've sometimes found that with white paint too! It's looking pinky purple and beautiful on this screen.

Another spectacular save. Love that background and all the affects you achieved. And this little lady brings a smile to anyone who sees her. What an adorable image and you have colored her up so beautifully. It does remind me of the inspiration teapot. Fabulous card.

What a truly stunning and dare I say, darling, card this is Susie! Your cards are infused with magic and that magic comes through in spades. This image is so darling and has made me smile really big and almost giggle with delight too. Sandy is going to adore this really charming card you made for her Susie. You keep upping the ante for the rest of us, and I love that! ~Karen.
