Dina has challenged us to use a mixed media background to make a quilt card today. I usually reach for my DP for a quilt card, but I dug through my backgrounds drawer and found four backgrounds that I had made with some leftover paint. They were nothing special on their own. I stamped the Posy background on one for more interest. Then I googled quilt square patterns and used my square punch to make these squares and triangles for my quilt. I made it extra big and then cut it down using my A2 die because I always make my quilt cards square and I didn't want to today. Then I stamped and die cut these fun knitting stamps from Spellbinders. Love them! And added a sentiment from PTI--sending to a crafty friend who loves to knit.

Jen, what a wonderful happy, warm, bright quilt. It's colours like this I needed to see today. And yes, isn't it wonderful how cutting things up or punching them can give them a whole new lease of life.
