Cathy has challenged us to one layer cards today. That is a challenge for me. I always like the look, but they're just not me. I love layers. I decided that I could get behind a OLC if it had a stitched scalloped border. I printed out this digi that was a freebie from The Hungry JPEG two years ago, then I die cut it. I used washi tape to mask the outside and sponged the whole panel with DOX inks. It needed a little bit of embellishment, so I added a bit of detail on some words with silver gel pen, stuck on some rhinestones, and colored the bottom "Love never fails" with a Copic Marker and Wink of Stella.

LOVE the verse...love the card, Jen! What pretty colors and the stitching and sponged background add depth to this wonderful one layer card! Thanks so much for joining the challenge today!

I can imagine that this must have been as hard for you as it was for me - but what a beautiful card, Jen. Neat work with the masking, and the bling dresses it up perfectly.
