I applied gesso to piece of wc paper, thinned some cheap acrylic paints with matte medium and a little water, then lightly painted the gessoed piece, letting each layer dry first. I used metallic blue, purple and pewter. The background is quite shiny and textured, hard to photograph. i cut the hummer out of some leftover tissue background from VSN. Had two poppies left over from Monday so one they went. I'd like to add one more thing, don't know what. Ribbon, trim, something.

So pretty and such a wonderful bg, Jean. You do the coolest things. Love those flowers too. Hugz

Beautiful card. Your bg is stunning and the vellum flowers look like organdy...and, of course, the focal point of the geometric die cut of a hummingbird.

This is really a cool BG. The hummer is really eye-catching in that pretty paper and color. I don't think you need to add anything, but if I did it might just be a couple of rhinestones or sequins in the center of the flowers. It's a beautiful card!

The brush strokes on the background really set everything off nicely.
