Jen aka jennifrann has us sending paper hugs and sunshine to Jean from Hawley, MN. Jean sadly lost her husband in mid March.
I hope these happy mice and their BFF Kitty, bring a smile to Jean's face. The sweet kitty by LC Designs, is cut from an old craft magazine, she was even the right colour!
The only cat stamps I have didn't feel appropriate, so my next thought was "mice". I was hoping to find a picture of a little cat and sit her in the basket, but I had no luck.
This image is printed on copy paper and coloured with Prismacolour pencils, Zest it pencil blend and colourless blending pencil. A gentle swish walnut stain distress ink was applied over the colouring, then used green and blue distress ink foam blending tools to scrub on a bit of colour for the sky and grass.
The frame holds the copy paper in place nicely around the edges. Oh I forgot to mention, I made a slit in the paper just above the ears of the red mouse, and slipped the cats body (severely trimmed) into the split and just had her head popping out. Her head is not adhered to the paper, it looks good in real life, even though it sounds weird when I write about it.
I hope you get a chance to get inky and send Jean some paper hugs. Thank you for looking. Stay safe.

Susie this is so cute and will brighten up anyone's day. Love how you popped your cat's head in behind your cute little mice. I do not like mice but when I see them on a card as cute as this, even I could overcome my phobia LOL. Awesome card as always. TFS and keep safe and well my dear mate over East. Hugs

Great little scene and sure to brighten anyone's day. I am not sure about just a head of a cat but it works here. Wearing party frocks for mundane tasks is the way to go when you're little and might outgrow them before lockdown ends!
